Who We are Our History Our Vision Our Mission

A Heart for Revival, A Vision for Community

Throne Room Ministries was birthed out of the foundation of 13 years of hosting the presence of God in extended times of worship and prayer across Loudoun County through the ministry of Loudoun Burn 24-7 under the leadership of Bo and Teresa Cook. We are an interdenominational, international, and multigenerational movement deeply rooted in the desire to cultivate an intentional, authentic community centered around the presence of the Lord. We believe that true revival and transformation start with individuals, but the impact spreads to families, communities, and beyond. Our ministry focuses on ushering the presence of God through worship, prayer, and creating an environment where people can encounter the Lord so that lives are transformed, healing is found, and disciples are equipped to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth.

A Foundation of Worship and Transformation

With a mandate from God to reach the nations represented in northern Virginia and create a space where God's presence is prioritized and celebrated, and Jesus is enthroned on our praises, Bo and Teresa Cook (missionaries with Youth With A Mission) launched Loudoun Burn 24-7 in partnership with Burn 24-7 in 2011. They hosted small home gatherings of believers each week who were passionate about encountering the Lord through vertical worship and prayer and seeing revival come. These intimate gatherings quickly expanded into larger multigenerational and international worship Burns. The Burns are extended times of non-stop vertical worship and prayer lasting 12-24 hours at churches across the county with sets led by worship leaders from a wide array of denominational and ethnic backgrounds.

Our journey has been one of faith, growth, and surrender to God's leading as He opened doors to host larger gatherings, develop training programs, and build communities centered on worship, prayer, and discipleship. Throughout the past 13 years, unity grew in the body of Christ, hearts of worship leaders and intercessors were revived, a community of believers hungry for the presence and of God and revival was built, individuals have received both physical and emotional healing as well as deliverance, and our region was changed as prayers were answered month after month.

Over the past 3 years, God has moved in powerful ways through this diverse community and family of believers as we spent intentional time being transformed in His presence and many other ministries have been birthed such as NoVA Abide, The Burn House, and Firebrand Academy to name a few. So much growth has come about that God began to speak to many of our leaders about the need to expand our tent pegs and prepare for more. As we prayed into this nudge from the Lord, he made it clear that the ministry name "Loudoun Burn" was to limiting because our ministry extends well beyond Loudoun. He then gave us the new name and overall covering ministry of Throne Room Ministries, which was launched at the end of September of 2024.

Today, we continue this mission as Throne Room Ministries, hosting worship burns, community gatherings, and outreaches, and making disciples who make disciples all to see lives transformed by the power of God's presence.

Revival That Transforms Lives and Communities

Our vision is simple yet profound: to build intentional, authentic community centered around the presence of the Lord, leading to revival and transformation in individuals, families, and communities worldwide. We believe that as we host God's presence and prioritize worship and prayer, and pursue a lifestyle of humility, repentance and holiness, we will see a revival that brings healing, salvation, and restoration locally that will send ripples throughout the world. Our goal is to equip believers of all ages and backgrounds to know their identity in Christ and to spread the full gospel wherever they go.

Carrying God's Presence, Transforming Lives

At Throne Room Ministries, we are dedicated to creating environments where God’s presence is hosted and honored, allowing individuals and communities to encounter the Lord. We accomplish this through:

  • Worship and Prayer: Hosting worship burns, creating a space where God is enthroned on our praises.
  • The Burn House: A place of refuge and encounter where people can seek the Lord, experience His presence, and find healing and transformation.
  • Interdenominational Gatherings: Bringing believers together to build unity, be refreshed, and encounter the Lord through events like NoVA Abide and Loudoun Burn.
  • Discipleship and Mentoring: Training and equipping individuals to step into their God-given identity and calling through one-on-one and small group mentoring and discipleship for adults and including Firebrand Academy for kids.
  • Outreach and Missions: Partnering with ministries locally and internationally to spread the gospel and create opportunities for outreach and missions.

What is Throne Room Ministries?

Throne Room Ministries, originally known as Loudoun Burn 24-7, is an interdenominational, international, and multigenerational ministry dedicated to building authentic, intentional communities centered around the presence of the Lord. We focus on worship, prayer, discipleship, and outreach to bring revival and transformation to individuals, families, and communities.

What is a Worship Burn?

A worship burn is an extended time of vertical worship and prayer where believers gather to focus solely on the presence of God. These sessions are designed to create an atmosphere where God’s heart is moved, His presence is hosted in an intentional and powerful way, and people encounter Him.

Typically, the worship leader doesn’t engage those in attendance as in a typical corporate setting.  You will often experience worshippers journaling, studying, praying, soaking, and painting, as well as singing along with the worship teams.

We typically have 12-24 hours of non-stop live worship. Teams of worshippers, musicians, and intercessors fill one or two hour blocks to worship, pray and create. Much of the worship will be creative, spontaneous, prophetic songs & melodies (Psalm 96) as well as songs one might know.

Our desire is to create an atmosphere where high levels of creativity can come forth.  You might see painters, dancers, worship flaggers, and writers creating during the Burn.  We often set up art stations for people to express their worship through creative mediums.

What is The Burn House?

The Burn House is a sacred space we maintain for individuals and groups to seek the Lord, worship, and encounter His presence. It’s a place of refuge, transformation, healing, and restoration, where people can spend uninterrupted time in worship and prayer and then go out and carry the fragrance and love of the Lord to the lost and broken all around us.

This is also a place where captives are set free through deliverance, inner healing, and physical healing.

We also periodically host training and equipping seminars on various topics to help believers grow in their faith and Christian walk.

Testimonials

“This is the best gift anyone has ever given to me - coming to Abide!”

Monica
NoVA Abide...

My heart is full! Thank you for inviting me. The Lord met me today. I am in the midst of a battle and felt defeated. Now I know I can keep going. Love you ladies

NoVA Abide...

I started participating in the Loudoun Burn right about the time it was started. One of our sons was at the very first Burn and I joined to back him later on. However, he had to move out of state to go to school, and I did not feel comfortable or able to do even an hour of worship lead or playing my guitar. Our son was firm that I get on board, and so were Teresa and Bo. The first time I led worship I was so fearful that I would not have enough songs to cover the hour or have the strength to finish, but God proved Himself faithful, that He’s the One who qualifies me. Teresa also introduced me to David’s Tent when they first came to Washington, D.C.

Teresa, as I said to you, you have orchestrated a meeting in which the Holy Spirit is comfortable to be present and active.  That is what being the “Body of Christ” is all about!  Jesus was glorified in your meeting.  I bless and thank Him for you!

Barbara
NoVA Abide...

Good Evening Teresa! It was a blessing to attend today's meeting with you and all the ladies.  God was tangibly present in every aspect. What a joy it was to go back "home" to the church building where The Lord brought my husband and I together. Meeting new ladies and reuniting with others put the icing on the cake of deliciousness that the Holy Spirit served us

"The Loudoun Burn has been such a powerful experience of spiritual growth for me. There is so much freedom in the worship. It is different than going to worship in a traditional church setting, where the worship may be on a stricter time schedule. During the Loudoun Burn, we can linger longer in the moments with the Lord. It is also beneficial meeting other people from different backgrounds and different churches. We have met a lot of great new friends at the Burn!"

"The sense of community that is felt at Loudoun Burn has been like none other. Teresa and Bo have created a 'family of worshippers' environment that allows the freedom to just completely fall into Abba's loving arms. As a dancer, I've always been welcomed and even encouraged to just worship and 'go for it'!! My most cherished friendships have been created through this family!!!"

Coming to NoVA Abide has created a hunger for more of Holy Spirit and spending time in His presence, joy and increased intimacy and freedom.

"The Loudoun Burn has been a tremendous blessing to me. Between the wonderful people that I have met there, and the Spirit of God that resides in each Burn gathering that I have been a part of, I can say that I have truly been blessed. The strength that I have gained as a result of being a part of the Burn has been tremendous. The amazing thing is that you can be at the Burn just lifting up God and when you happen to open your eyes, you see a 'sea' of different kinds of people all on one accord, lifting up the same Jesus, unashamed and in prayer for one another. That’s what spoke to me; the fact that every time I go, God does something amazing with whoever is in the room. Truly a blessing to be a part of the move."

"Through the ministry and people at Loudoun Burn, I received back my joy and was delivered from depression. It opened me to a new level of prophetic worship that I did not know was possible. Also, I came into a beautiful community of anointed worshippers that encouraged me to keep pursuing Him."
